You might want to grab a cup of tea before you start scrolling through this one…  It’s epic.

Preena & Dave’s three day wedding celebration was filled with colour, texture and rich culture – it was such a dream to photograph.

I love the way they introduced Dave’s Maori heritage into the Indian ceremony with the exchange of the Maori wedding cloak, handmade by Dave’s mum.  Just when I thought Preena’s wedding dress couldn’t get any more awesome – BAM!  She’s suddenly cloaked in ostrich feathers.

I’ll let the photos do most of the talking on this one…  And just finish by thanking Preena & Dave for trusting me to capture their amazing wedding.  It’s one I’ll never forget.

PS: Planning & styling was expertly executed by Main Event Weddings. Preena & Dave’s wedding was also featured on the Hooray Magazine blog. Check it out here!

Diana - Oh, Jess, these are some of the most spectacular photos I’ve ever seen. You can almost feel the sunshine and the breeze, and you can definitely hear all the laughter. How beautiful! And how lucky you are to have been present at such a day. Wow.ReplyCancel

This day was pretty unforgettable.  It played out a bit like this…  The sweetest first look I’ve ever seen, followed by some super fun portraits around the Valley, followed by a beautiful heartfelt ceremony officiated by Paul Voge, followed by a group shot during which guests were surprised by a Delorean screeching around the corner, with Doc jumping out to whisk Leigh & Ben back to the future…  Amazing!!  And it didn’t stop there, with the reception (styled by Hope & Lace) again paying homage to Leigh & Ben’s favourite movie.  Thankfully, no one was hit on by their mum.

Some serious partying ensued!!

Leigh & Ben’s awesome day has also been featured on Hello May!  Check it out here!  AND Paul Voge put together a gorgeous video of the day.  The man can multitask!  Watch it here!

I love Queensland winters.  Diana & Brendan’s July wedding at Kilcoy Farmstay was absolutely beautiful.  The weather and the light were magic!  Even the local wildlife came out to celebrate…  Pretty cool, except for the fact that Diana & Brendan got pooped on while they were signing their marriage certificate!!  The night ended perfectly though, with the full moon rising and a croquembouche covered in sparklers!
